Ragusa
Thursday was a bit of a highlight so far. We (Ariane, Mum, Angus, Kirst and I) drove down to Ragusa for the day. The town itself is really beautiful. Again, built into a ravine so very hilly, almost layered and again, rather Baroque. So really pretty and narrow winding streets with the the occasional set of stairs to traverse.
Ariane had read about a restaurant called Duomo which has two Michelin Stars even though they don't make a big song and dance about. So we went there as the 'special meal' for Angus' birthday - as if the 12 hour feast we had two days earlier wasn't enough!
It was extraordinarily good. Ariane has threatened to induct it into the 'Top Five' it was that good.
Then yesterday it was time to take Ang and Kirst out to the airport but not before one last dip in the sea and a couple of beers while watching the Hawks tear Adelaide limb from limb.
It was sad to see them go - it's been wonderful having them both around again. Next time we see them they'll have a little one kicking about the place.
Just a gentle reminder for those that are still telling me they'd like the blog posts emailed to them. You can subscribe here
